SOUL SCHOLARSHIP AWARD CEREMONY 2023

The Soul Scholarship Award Ceremony 2023 was a momentous occasion that celebrated academic brilliance while empowering deserving students. Taking place on August 27, 2023, at the Patharpratima in South 24 pgs, West Bengal, the event commenced with an enchanting performance by the young vidyarthi from SOUL. These young vidyarthi belong from Savar tribe of Sundarbans. Over 50 kids, who once couldn’t even articulate their thoughts, performed with a vigor and enthusiasm that was nothing short of miraculous. They sang, they danced, and they recited poems—each performance was a testament to the untapped potential within them.

In this event the Bagh Yoddhas (tiger warriors) were honored. These people have faced the Royal Bengal Tiger, while doing something as everyday as collecting honey or catching crabs. In this event, we united to say a big “Thank You” to the Bagh Yoddhas. Their bravery inspired us, their stories left us in awe, and their courage will forever be etched in our hearts. The Sundarbans, with its mysteries and challenges, gave birth to these heroes, and we were privileged to stand in their presence, celebrating their extraordinary journeys.

Our special event featured wise advisors like Ms. Manjula Misra – Advisor- Public Relation & Resource Development, Mr. Uttam Kumar Nayek – Advisor- Public Relation & Resource Development and Mr. Sayantan Mukherjee – Advisor – Entrepreneur Education, Research and Training who talked to students about jobs and shared their personal experiences. They shared helpful advice and stories to guide students in choosing their careers, like shining lights in the dark.

Our commitment to fostering educational growth and opportunities was beautifully showcased through this ceremony. From 150 applications, we chose the top 17 students for our scholarship. These students are both skilled and may need a little extra support as they come from a place with few resources and opportunities.

We provide these benefits in our scholarship to the selected students.

As we celebrated, we also promised to keep supporting dreams. This event was a way to show how important education is and how it can open doors to amazing possibilities. At the end of the ceremony, we handed each student a precious Sundari plant, a symbol of our shared commitment to a greener world. With a simple request to nurture these plants near their homes, we sowed the seeds of a collective green initiative that will flourish as these young minds embark on their journeys ahead.
