A ceremony was organized by SOUL at its Sundarban Vidyashram to commemorate the 72nd Independence Day. SOUL has come a long way since its creation in 2015 and so have the children who have been under SOUL’s care at Vidyashram, its all-around development school. SOUL celebrates this Independence Day keeping at its heart Swami Vivekananda’s teachings and ideologies which promote selfless service for all. The Vidyashram children performed for the first time in the ceremony and did so with all their mirth. The guests of honor at the ceremony included the Honorable Officer-In-Charge, Gobardhanpur Coastal PS, Honorable Upa-Pradhan, G-Plot GP, Honorable Head Master, G-Plot Junior High School and social activists. A day long colorful event, it consisted of recitations, skits, song and dance performances by the children themselves. The children enjoyed very much and so did the audience. Altogether, it was a day of celebrations and merriment.
