A Silent Battle Won – SOUL’s Heartfelt Deworming Camp 2025

Because true change begins in the most unseen places.

In the forgotten corners of the Sundarbans, where muddy paths replace roads and silence echoes through neglected villages, SOUL continues to walk beside those who are often left behind. Among the many battles our communities face, one is silent, invisible, and often ignored — the fight against internal worm infections that quietly rob children of their health, growth, and joy.

Why This Matters

A child with a bloated stomach may not cry out in pain. A mother too used to fatigue may never seek help. A student who cannot focus in class may not know why. In the Sundarbans, worm infections have long haunted the health of tribal children and families — not from lack of will, but from lack of awareness and access.

Where It Begins

It starts with walking barefoot, drinking river water, or playing in soil. It creeps in through daily life. In areas like the Sundarbans, where clean water, sanitation, and health education remain scarce luxuries, worms easily find their way into growing bodies. And once inside, they take much more than food — they take energy, immunity, and learning capacity.

The Unseen Symptoms

Worm infections often go unnoticed. Children may look tired, complain of stomach pain, or fall sick frequently. They may stop growing at the pace they should. Mothers too suffer, silently accepting their own weakness. The cycle continues — unless someone steps in.

SOUL’s Promise: A Decade of Compassion

For over 10 years, SOUL has been more than an organization — it’s been a friend in the remotest parts of the Sundarbans. Through deworming camps, health sessions, and education drives, we have reached thousands of lives. Each camp is not just about medicine. It’s about presence. Listening. Teaching. Feeding. Comforting.

Deworming Camp 2025 – A Week of Impact

From 7th to 23rd July 2025, our teachers, health workers, and volunteers crossed muddy rivers and narrow forest paths to door-to-door. In every location, they gathered children, mothers, fathers, and the elderly — 480 individuals in total. Before giving any medicine, we handed out cakes or bread, shared smiles, and built trust.

Every name was noted. Every dose was watched over. No one was left behind. This wasn’t a camp — it was a movement.

It Took a Village – And More

This quiet victory was not ours alone. It was powered by the feet that walked door-to-door, the hands that served food, the hearts that listened, and the vision that believed everyone deserves care — no matter how far they live.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to:
– Our tireless educators and ground staff
– The medical leadership of Dr. Dipak Ray
– All our well-wishers and donors,CSR partner whose belief fuels our mission
